It worked just like it was supposed to. The cable is swaged. I've used it twice since then, for winching a car onto the trailer and nothing failed. So I guess the crimper did its job.

Great for 5/16 cable

I use 5/16 wire rope for pulling trees. Aluminum sleeves crimped with this tool don't slip. For safety I use two sleeves on each cable end. My only complaint is this tool is vary hard to operate with 5/16 sleeves. Longer handles on the tool would be a major improvement.

It easy to use when lower ground but up high is pretty heavy to press it in and you will need a lot of strength to press when compress

For 3/16" crimps, tool needs to be pretty heavy duty which this is. I was impressed how well it worked although it does require some effort which is expected. Also cuts the wire rope very cleanly.

It swages five sizes of oval-type crimp sleeves easily because of the leverage of the long handles. There was a little problem, but the responsive staff at Vevor took care of it right away, and I am pleased with the results.

A new wire core halyard for my flagpole is $110. For only a few dollars more I purchased the hardware and this tool to make two 50' halyards. My only complaint keeping it from a 5 star review is that one of the handles should have a flat spot to push against the ground or floor because with a tool this big, like a large bolt cutter, you're not going to chest press both handles together unless you're 6'4+ and built like the Rock.
