Q: I want to convert single phase 240 volt to 3 phase to power and operate a 1965 LeBlond lathe. it has 5 hp rate 3 phase motor, but also the control operates a (gear) shifter, clutch, and a brake. Placard shows the control operates at 120 volts. So, wondering if this converter is suitable?
A: This convert is not suitable. This cannot be used directly as a power source.
