Pros: #1: Can easily be rectified with a full bridge to DC [but you may need to increase voltage a bit to get your desired output as the rectifier will have a voltage drop].#2. The 5kva model goes past 230v to about 256v max.In between a pro and con: Do not trust the dial for voltage output. If you have an input voltage that is slightly higher than the 110v rating or even a straight 110v rating; it will show differently with a multimeter, which I recommend for this device.Cons: #1 the dial at 0v is not 0v [more like .9v] still super low but I wish 0 was 0.#2. Its heavy [think watermelon with a brick heavy].Final thought: Its super awesome. I recommend it.
