I just fired this thing up for the first time last night. Based on other reviews, I want to address a couple things. It is variable speed. The water hose provided is a weak point but easily fixed. The barb on the drill accepts 3/8”/8mm ID tube and the thin tubing provided slides off and on. I picked up some braided vinyl tubing, a couple of hose clamps and a garden hose attachment with a 3/8” barb and made my own. I’m guessing the one provided would work short term if you got a couple of tube clamps to hold it on the barbs. The drill did start smoking after my fifth hole. I attribute this to my bit dulling, me pushing it hard, the bit binding in the hole and the drill being a bit under powered. When I backed off the pressure and let the bit do the work, the smoking stopped. If you are buying this thinking it is a thousand dollar plus tool, it is not. For what you get for the price, this is a great tool. I gave it 4 stars because of the hose tubing; otherwise, it would have been 5. Also, when you attach a 9” long coring bit, it looks so cool you will want to hang it above your fireplace.

We purchased this to drill some 4" and 6" holes through 6 inch thick concrete. The drill tackled the job with no problem, i would definitely buy this brand again. we drilled over 100 holes and the drill held up great.ChuckA&S

Cored 3 3 inch holes through 18 inches of rock. So far so good

Core drilled my curb like a champ.Much nicer than a flakey patch.Way cheaper, faster, less headaches than hiring a guy with a rig, it only took about 30min & now I have a huge drill = Happy camper.The hose was useless though.. got a plastic adapter at the depot and zip tied it to help with the presure. I recomend adding a valve to the business end of your hose so you can manage the flow with-in reach of the drill.Good luck!

Was very impressed with this drill. Drilled a 3" hole thru a gunite pool wall with no problem.The water hookup isn't worth using... used a washer hose, with one end cut off, and attached to the drill with a hose clamp. Worked great.So far, I've been very pleased with this core drill.JTV

I have used this drill on 3 jobs. Two 2 1/2 cores and two 4 inch holes. Works very well especially for the price to comparable drills.

This worked great for drilling 3 and 4 1/4 inch holes into my concrete patio for drains. I used it to drill 3-3” holes and 3-4 1/4” holes through 6 inches of concrete/tile. For the price you can’t beat it. The only small issue I had was that I had to modify the connection for the hose, as it does attach to a common water hose. But again, for the price of the drill, it was no problem.Ryan McKernan

This is the whole package, right sized Auber, wet connection, automatic surge kick out, and powerful motor to take it home, just hope they are good about repair parts since I got it hung up onetime and damaged it when it spun out of my hands, but a few tywrapes later had it running again, I’d have to say it’s got heart.
