This has been a great tub, the reason why it is not a 5 star tub is primarily the grate that the dogs stand on. YOU HAVE TO buy shower mattes to put over the rows and rows of metal holes. When dogs get scared they grip there little toes into those holes and it is a major hazard of them breaking their nails, even after I have trimmed and filed them before getting into the tub. There are way too many holes in that grate and I have no idea why they needed to put them there. Additionally when you flip the grate up to clean under it, the edges are RAZO sharp and you will 100% cut yourself at the smallest scrape, they should strongly consider redesigning the grate that goes in there. If you are buying this tub MAKE SURE that you put the hair trap drain on the same end of the tub as the door, so that you can easily reach in and clear it when it gets hairy. This becomes a problem if like me you have it on the opposite side and can’t reach it while the dog is in the tub. And my last consumer tip is this, 62 inch tub is very large and the largest dog I’ve done still had plenty of room so you might not need that size. Also another MAJOR cutting hazard is the bottom of the stair case, it is supppper sharp. I wrote all of these crucial to be helpful but here is a positive thing, I love the tub and I think it’s great quality and I don’t regret buying it, even tho I messed up drain side! I think it will last a long time and I love that it held me keep hair from getting in my plumbing, I also have a floor sink with a grate to stop hair, and the two work together beautiful to keep me from having any plumbing issues!
