It is not recommended to drive single-phase motors. The starting current of a single-phase motor is 4-5 times the rated current.

This VFD cannot drive PMAC type motors, but can only drive three-phase AC asynchronous motors.

Yes, it can be used. It has a switching port to control the start and stop of the inverter, and a 0-10V or 4-20mA analog quantity to control the frequency of the inverter.

the 19 year old VFD failed on my lathe. this VFD showed in my search results and the price was a little unbelievable. I know that Vevor has a good return policy, so I ordered it. got it in two days and it was a fast install. I needed to know what breaking resistor to buy and had the answer a few hours after posting the question. it works fine and is in daily production. I recommend this to anyone who knows how to set one up.

Many reviews stated this vfd doesn't work. But really surpass many of the big brands on the market. If you are not familiar with the vfds, how connect or how operate them, is highly probably you experienced some issue with this kind of devices. The best between the Chinese vfds.

This did exactly what I needed. It was easy to hook up and runs my milling machine perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend the to anyone who needs to convert single phase to 3 phase power. That's only one of the many features this device has.

Better than a phase converter
Restoring a '40's vintage lather with a 3 phase motor. A VFD was recommended to me vs. buying a static phase converter. Wiring was simple and allowed me to remove old switch gear. Works great, a little slow to spool up to speed (or down) when starting or stopping lathe but not a deal breaker. Has MANY features not needed with this application. Manual is not great (as has been mentioned before), but again, adequate for my use. Don't have too much run time on it yet, but so far, so good.

This is my fourth Vevor VFD and I am a true believer. They are great. This one went on a 1913 Hendey lathe, replacing the Rotophase it came with, along with the reverser and on/off switch. It eliminates the need to change the cone pulley flat belt, with full speed control in the VFD, with all the power you need, as well as reversing. You can set the exact speed you need for any diameter, material, or cutting tool. No compromises. The deceleration can be set to a dead stop in less than a second. Maybe instantaneous, but I don't know if that's bad for the motor or VFD.
