I bought the pump because I had bought a water well pump from Vevor and it works great. The wood splitter pump is also a top quality pump. My log splitter works smoother and faster than it did when I purchased it brand new . I would recommend Vevor products to everyone. Great product great prices

I bought this pump because it was mentioned in the comments that it is a direct replacement for mtd part # 718-04127 which is the pump I needed to replace. And based on the specifications saying it would work with 5.5 to 7.5 HP engines. Two differences between the Vevor pump and the MTD pump that i experienced. First, the discharge port in 1/2” NPT on the Vevor and 1/2” ORB on the MTD. Second, when splitting wood, the Vevor pump makes the engine stall as soon as the splitting head contacts the wood. If I temporarily stop the wedge before the engine stalls and then continue, it’s splits okay. I think the bypass pressure between the first and second stages is set too high. Overall, it works, but needs to be used carefully to avoid stalling the engine.

I would never buy here again pump never worked right and quit after a day and a half also log splitter valve started leaking the first day. I will eat this purchase because they want video and pictures of when it was on there and I cannot talk to anybody on the phone to get this resolved I had to take it off my splitter in order to keep my business going. I do not have time to film it and try to prove that it does not work.

Great pump so far. Easy to install. Went right in.

It isn't putting out 16 gpm! Not even 11 gpm! My old pump still works but is 8 years old, so I decided to upgrade with a higher output pump. I do have a 13 hp motor so 16 gpm isnt an issue. I have contacted Vevor and they wanted a video of the log splitter running which I sent. We will see if they will let me return it.
