I've this on the boat for about 100 hours. The boat is used in salt water but trailered and not kept on the water. It's worked flawlessly so far. Install was straightforward. No signs of corrosion on the hydraulic cylinders at the engine, but the helm has quite a bit. Salt has penetrated the powder coat and has began the typical bubbling on the metal. The boat is rinsed after use and Salt Away is used every few uses, which leads me to believe there were flaws in the coating that allowed salt in. For the cost, it is what it is... Better coating would make this an unbeatable value.

I am in the industry and have so far installed 2 of these . 1 four stroke 90 one 2 stroke 90 . No problems at all . Not only is it an exact match of a bay star teleflex unit. In a couple areas it's better . The hoses are larger . More like the teleflex seastar units . Also the fittings are nice . Not cheap feeling at all . The mounting of the helm is easy and with the hardware supplied can be configured to be installed easily on different thickness dash panels ,which can save a ton of work. By bigger hp then you need . Incase you add hp I got the 150 hp model . Don't know if I would trust this style not brand on a 300 hp . Buy the sea star style. They are all at or or above half price. You save 500 to 600 hundred bucks. It's worth it from what I saw with materials and finish.

I was backed against a wall. My old system was obsolete and no new cable could be found! This was the perfect answer and updated the entire steering system! My boat now steers easily and is once again a pleasure to operate. The necessary modifications to properly fit were reasonably easy to perform. Thank you for a reasonably priced system.

I am not sure how well this will work in a long run.But it seems to work pretty good brand new period what sucks is the instructions and customer support very poor

it was easy to install with video but it took me a whole day. It’s been a few months install. Works good, we’ll see if it lasts.

Install was pretty easy, works great, after bleading system of air, 3 1/2 turns in either direction for maximum turning radius effortlessly. Installed on 1994 18' Star Craft w/ Mercury Force 75 HP

Beats the others price hands down! If I need another I will purchase this again! Glad to find this purchase for this price

I installed this kit on a 1989 Bass Cat Sabre bass boat with a 1989 Mercury xr4 150. It was not a direct bolt application for me. I did some research and thought I was buying a direct bolt on kit. After I ordered it, I had some concerns of the application. The shipping was fast and once I had the opportunity to install it, there were several modifications I had to do to the engine components to get the cylinder mounted and to operate the cylinder lock to lock with no interference. Once mounted, this system works great and handles really well. Make sure you know for sure that you are ordering the exact kit for your application. Maybe they all require modifications. I was prepared to make the necessary modifications for my application to make it work. Overall, very pleased with the performance so far
