Pizza challenged

The temperature hard to regulate , After 1 season started to rust even with a cover ! The door does not seal evenly , not a big deal , biggest issue is quality of metal , too thin and rust easily!

The concept is great I just wish it was a little larger overall. I had to place it on top of 2 cinder blocks otherwise you are working on your knees. 18' X 18" would be great instead of the 12" X 12" cooking area. If you are cooking for 1 or 2 people the unit is fine. The concept is great for pizza, with the coals under the stone it makes for nice crisp crust and still allowing for the smoke to flow around the stone and give that nice smoke flavor to the pizza. Use XL lump coal, if you use regular lump coal 20% fall through the bottom grate (a perforated vegetable tray will help). Not being insulated it's important to keep the coals well lite, the oven easily gets to 450* in about 25 minutes. You can add a few wood flavor chips to the coals for added flavor. For the price it's well worth it.

Vevor pizza oven

This pizza oven was a great buy and a very good beginner pizza oven. My review is torn for a couple of different things but it makes a great pizza so for that it should be about 4.5 stars. First of all, this pizza oven is kind of short I am 6’3 and have to bend down to check the fire and the pizza. That for me really isn’t a big deal because at some point I want to take it off the legs and put it on the counter outside. The first burn I did to get all the styrofoam pieces out I just put a bunch of scrap wood in it since I didn’t have regular fire wood and the oven was blazing I got it up to 850 degrees which I was honestly excited about but, it burning that hot basically melted all the paint off the tops, sides and insides. I didn’t expect this to happen but at the same time I can always get high temp spray paint and repaint it. The Tempe gauge fogged up with smog and that’s honestly probably my fault for the wood I used but now it does not work since the initial burn. I have an infrared thermometer so that’s also not a huge deal because you kind of want to know what the temp is at for the pizza stone anyways. When I did my first cook with actual fire logs I struggled to get the wood burning over 400 degrees and it probably could of just been moist firewood from the store so the pizzas took about 10 minutes to make for each one but man was the crust perfect on them! I like that the stone isn’t as big as the grate it sits on so you can get the fire going on one side of the pizza oven and move the stone over to the opposite side of the fire and let the flame roll over the top of your pizza. My brother owns one of the ooni pizza ovens and I have to say that this pizza oven tops his hands down not just on flavor but cooking time as well. We are both beginners but for some reason the pizzas on his took forever and the crust kept burning before the toppings were cooked and melted. You will have to rotate your pizza multiple times but that is expected. For the price of this oven you can buy three of these before you can afford an ooni and these pizzas actual taste wood fired. Get it while you can!!

Easy Set up and Easy to Use

Shipping was fast and free. Directions were tricky to put together, but figured it out. Make sure pull handle is opposite the wheels. Might want to get a metal basket to fit in the fire cavity to hold your hot coals/fire if you start your fire outside the oven first. I had a hard time getting the stove hot enough, needed to keep adding to the fire, but will work on the technique some more. No fault of the oven, I just need more practice. I like the quality.
