You can distill only a gallon of water per use, but it's okay for the price and for the capacity. I would buy it again if necessary.

I have made over 60 gallons of water from well water that is not fit to drink it bills with toxics and mud every year when it rains and it's only 48 ft deep this thing works like a charm I pay $8 for 6 gallons of water every few days from the store distilled or purified water. I have made over 60 gallons of water with this and it does wonderful it clears all the impurities out gets rid of all the metals and all the nonsense that's in the water and the water tastes great it works like a charm and Beaver has an awesome warranty on it so I mean it was a quality piece of equipment and it's already paid for itself I pay less than $0.25 a gallon for water at this point could you count the electricity and the water from the well using more electricity I highly recommend this and I highly recommend you buy it directly from vevor

The water tastes great. I run it at least once a day, sometimes twice. I’ve had it for 9 months now and no issues. My kids drink so much water now.

It is easy to use and clean, be sure to wipe it down after every use or the build up will be super gross looking. Wish the top cable was just a few inches longer to allow for easy top removal. Works just as discribed. Would have been nice to come with a spout for the water jug to help pouring into your own containers without spilling, I fixed this by using a larger funnel to pour into 1gallon jugs

It's basically the same design of others I've owned but this starts producing water quicker. Be sure and use the charcoal filter in the dispensing neck it really makes a difference in taste. (You can find replacements for these here on Amazon.) I also use quart mason jars w/screw on lids to store it that way the water isn't touching any plastic and isn't exposed to air. I use three quarts per run, that way I never run it completely dry, when you run it dry it bakes the contaminants to your machine. I use white vinegar to clean mine, it works great. You might have to soak it a bit to loosen anything but it's easy and natural. The unit itself has a tight seal which I think needs to be gently worked with as it looks thin and fairly fragile - meaning be gentle removing the top and whatever you do don't turn the top over, water remains in the mechanism and will get in the motor, I ruined an old one doing that. OK good for you for distilling your water we have to do it these days God only knows what kind of crap they're putting in our taps.

Works great and efficiently

We have very hard water and calcium deposits on many items. The distiller is mainly for water for the coffee maker and humidifier and has cut down tremendously on cleaning these items. It takes about 3.5 hrs to get almost a gallon; compared to grocery store prices, it is well worth it. We clean the distiller with a little citric acid in water. Soak for about 10 min and done.
