For my use it works great. Making some small parts. It was well packaged and worked without too much fuss to set up. Definitely a good buy.

I bought this lathe with a mindset that at is cheap.But boy I was pretty happy with it when it came everything was very nice . Every thing lined up I would tell anyone that wanted one too get it great value for the money

This is the third lathe I bought. The first two I bought were from Ebay and they never delivered and I had to wait to get my money back. I did get my money back , but it delayed my projects from getting done for 6 months. I ordered this lathe from Vevor and they promised delivery in 1 week and they lived up to there promise . Do not delay ordering from this company, prices are going up so order now. This lathe is the best product out there . I bought this for pool cue repair and it works just what you would expect a good lathe to work. The quality is great. Well made heavy casting for the bed, great precision .0001 tol. Renn

The lathe arrived within a few days of purchase and was undamaged. The crate it was shipped in is a work of art and worth keeping. I have spent ~24 hours disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, deburring, honing, oiling, greasing, and reassembling the lathe's mechanical subsystems - tail stock, compound slide, cross slide, carriage, apron, ways, feed screw, rack gear, chuck, and stud gears. I also inspected the motor and electronics. I have posted >150 photos in the Facebook group Home Shop Machinist (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1104020856281121) of my progress - 10/12 (6), 10/23 (19), 10/26 (46), 10/28 (17), 10/31 (35), 11/04 (26), 11/07 (5). This is the second lathe I have owned. I am very pleased with it so far. I am looking for more accessories - MT3 ER32 collet chuck w/collets, MT3 dead center, faceplate and lathe dogs, follower/steady rest, MT2 live center, tooling. I am also planning a few upgrades - way covers and locks and/or stops for the slides. Once I get it mounted to a solid base I will align the tailstock, tool, and chuck. Once aligned I will begin to make parts with it. I look forward to many years of service from it. It is a fine addition to my small home shop.

I ordered this Lathe after months of reading reviews, watching various manufacturers and models on U-Tube, viewing feedback on the various websites, etc. I have a mechanical background and have been using tools and equipment in and out of the shop for upwards of fifty five years, from what I was reading and seeing the majority of the issues listed are the same you would have with setting up any precision machine. Knowing that, and the fact it had the brushless motor option. Brushed motors will not perform in a 7" X 10" lathe let alone a 8" 210X800 bench top beast. I was pleasantly surprised that the manual included with the lathe said in fact that this is the current production lathe powered by a 1100 Watt brushless motor - even better or so I thought. It arrived in due time with some light forklift damage to the shipping package clearly noted by the shipper and me, the damage to the lathe was mostly in the back splash area. My son gave me a hand mounting her to the bench, good and level ready for a good cleaning. The lathe had a good coat of cosmoline, No rust Good, No metal filings or grinding debris, Good. What this Behind the motor cover? A small brushed DC motor, brush caps and all, and a equally small DC motor Controller board. What? I honestly wonder how many Vevor customers think they bought a lathe with a brushless motor from Vevor lathe? I contacted Vevor and was told in writing "to date as of March 2023. None of our lathes have ever had a brushless motor Not a single one!" They also said "750 watt brushed motor is standard equipment for this Lathe". Their misleading ads... No assets in the USA... Back to the good part whoever built this lathe and assembled it did it like they were working in Colonial Hong Kong! Hats off to them. I really mean Hats off to them! I'm a greenhorn to metal working but so far this machine has done everything I've asked it to as I began my education. This includes working with higher grade steel. It could use a bit more power and some markings or such that let you know your rpms. I haven't figured out the gears yet as there is no manual which probably doesn't impact an experienced machinist but a noob like me could definitely use one. Thank goodness for online videos. Definitely worth the money.
