This machine definitely makes more of a snowcone consistency. If you turn it to the “fine” setting that does change the ice , but the machine is much slower. Lightweight, and can hold an entire 7lb bag of ice in the top.

THIS THING IS AWESOMEEEE!!!! Kids loved it and it's soooo easy to use! I was worried about operating it....it's a breeze!!! OHHHH and to be clear....The ice is a COMBO of shaved and pieces of little,tiny bits of ice. YOU ARE GONNA LOVE THIS THING!!!

This machine is great and definitely worth the price! It jammed once but this machine has a REVERSE option that clears the jam instantly!

This machine is awesome, easy to use and super fast, the adjustment knob is great makes the ice almost snow or thicker to be a snow cone. Pour ice in and push the button that simple.

Got this for my son's school functions. Got a chance to use it this past weekend. We gave out free shaved ice and kids were coming back for 2nds, 3rds, and 4ths. We worked nonstop for an hour or so, went through 3 bags of ice and it didn't hiccup once. Don't put the cups to close to the spout or it will clog, but other than that it worked great. The only gripe I have is the course adjustment knob doesn't have any markings to tell what you're set at, but if you leave it set at one adjustment then you'll be ok.

I have yet to use it for anything other than cocktails, but I have serious commercial applications planned. However, I was shocked by the power this thing has. I’ve only use household ice so far, but the freaking thing spit out snow in seconds! I felt like I couldn’t feed the thing fast enough and the fact that you can adjust the setting for what level or sort of granular output you want is fantastic. You can make coarse grains like hail, or you can make very fine near snowflake quality. Be ready though, because it really spits that ice out really fast. I would not complain about this, but if they could make the ice shoot in a more narrow spray, it would be absolutely perfect, but until they do that it is just an excellent machine. I’m very pleased, and I honestly have apprehension about buying it from a Chinese manufacturer. So far so good.
