Perfect for our cellar door
We used this for a cellar door going under our bedroom. Worked great. My husband installed it. He knew what size we needed for the weight.

Make an interesting project
Very well made and easy to use. The struts are holding up well too. Used this to make a bed with storage under it.

Solid Design, Can Lift Mattress with one Finger!
This works really well. I can lift my queen sized bed with one finger. the hinges holds the lid open 39", which is plenty to access the storage inside. In effect, this adds the volume of another closet. Really helped me organize my home. I should add some comments to help other buyers.I made a 19" tall by 3/4" thick plywood box as the base. I added a 6" wide by 3/4" thick plywood cleat to help support the hinge. This made the thickness too large for the supplied bolts. So i'd recommend buyers to buy two inch long by 5/16" stainless steel socket head cap screws. You can buy 3/8" bolts but will need to drill out the slotted holes a bit. These show on the outside. But they are really good looking and I don't mind them showing. Here's the link for the bolts:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079H5Y7HN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The other comment, is this. Attach the hinge to the base box first. The position is important. I left 3" between the end of the hinge and the wall of the base box (where the head of the bed is). The height is set at follows: draw a line parallel with the floor 4" from the upper lip on the box. Make sure the upper edge of the hinge is 4" from the lip all along the length of the upper lip of the base box.Next step is to install the lifting piston on the hinge. This is important so you can mark the position of the lid properly.Step three is to put the top plywood lid in place and mark it. Make sure that the head of the base box lines up with the lid. Mark the under side of the lid where the holes need to be drilled. Then just drill the holes and tighten the bolts.

Solid. Heavy duty. Great product
The hinges are awesome! Made a queen size bed and these worked great. Also had a slight issue with one of the struts and seller was more than helpful. Great customer service.
