Good deal
I was hesitant to purchase this because the price was so low compared to other brands but am glad I did. Very nice.

This unit will work for 2 deep frames or 4 medium frames. For a small scale operation it works okay. Assembly was easy. Pros are the price. Cons are that if you are using a screen sieve on top of a 5 gallon pail to collect the honey you will need to set it on 2x4s or the gate won’t be high enough to clear it. Not a deal breaker. Instructions suggest bolting the legs to plywood but I used it without doing it. You do not have to spin the frames fast in order to spin out the honey. A couple of minutes per side is all you need.

This is my 1st time ever using a honey extractor. I am 2 yrs into beekeeping. This is the rundown of my experience with the VEVOR Manual Honey Extractor. Out of the box, it looked shiny and all parts accounted for. Assembly was easy and already assembled parts had tight screws. The plexiglass covers, however, were not quality cut. They have some cracks and chips but as far as function they worked. I'm not sure what was going on when I put my frames in. They kept hitting the plexiglass covers, no matter how fast or slow I spun them. But all in all, it did the job efficiently. What honey I couldn't scrape out with a spatula, sat in the bottom of the tub and I put it outside for the bees to clean up. I will say that plastic foundations would work best with this extractor. Many of my wax combs was destroyed in the spinning process. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the plexiglass issues.

Perfect
Bought this because the electric one was out of stock. Super easy assembly, incredibly well balanced, until you put frames in it, lol. We were able to spin four medium frames at a time and extracting was a breeze. Looking forward to fall harvest. I'll have to figure out a way to keep this thing from bucking like a bronco when frames are in it.

Our extractor arrived quickly, and works wonderful, but when it arrived one half of the lid was broken into pieces. I took a picture and emailed it in, but never heard a real back. It would be nice to have the lid completely in tact, if pos

Worth it
I've used this honey extractor twice now. I have two hives and this works great for me. I like having one of my very own so I don't have to pay to rent one each time I need to extract honey. The quality on this is as good, imo, as my friend who has a much larger and pricier model.

It does what it's supposed to do. Balance is the big thing. Be careful to position frames the same direction and on all sides. It helped to screw down the feet to a sheet of plywood and stand on the plywood. Definitely a great value and it's holding up.

Extractor came well packaged. Easy to assemble. Based on other reviews, I chose to mount the unit on a plywood base to prevent "walking." Used it to extract one super with eight medium frames of honey. worked well with very little wobble. Honey was removed rather quickly, and cleanup was easy. Well worth the money and should fit my needs for many years to come.
