Q: Can this be used with Nickel Metal Hydride batteries?
A: It is recommended that you use 24V lead-acid batteries.

Q: What are the different modes? can it be set for battery primary mode and then when the battery gets low or near dod it will switch to mains power?
A: This Hybrid Solar Inverter can only be connected 12V battery pack and 230V mains, and  it will switch to mains power when the battery gets low or near dod.

Q: my panels are 395 watts 9.7 amps and 40.6 volts will this work with them?
A: Hybrid Solar Inverter is rated at 50 amps 24V so that's 1200 watts of solar. Your panels are 395 watts so 1200 / 395 is 3 panels in series giving you 1185 watts and amps stay the same at 9.7 amps below the 50 amp rating. In parallel you could do 4 panels with watts staying at 395 but current adding up with four panels to 38.8 amps safely in the 50 amp hybrid rating. You need to hook a 24 volt battery configuration to this unit in order for it to even turn on. Have no idea how many panels you have? Has terminals to hook power cable to for a generater and terminals for AC output 120V with a max load of 2400 watts. This was originally for Lead Acid batteries but it's confusing on what batteries this can actually be configured for. We have (4) 24 volt panels at 220 watts and 7.6 amps hooked up in parallel feeding (2) 12volt batteries hooked up in series thus giving us 24volts the rating of the unit

I’m new to solar power and just follow tons of YouTube videos. This Works great for me storing solar power for free into batteries and and transforming my batteries power into 115-120 alternate current volts 60hz. I’m able to power 10+ LED light bulbs in various spaces, a flat screen TV, wireless internet,game system, have a Hurricane fan blowing at max speed, power laptop computer, charge a phone a freezer and still have extra wattage for more. Great for daily use and in case of an electrical blackout.I tied to 6, eight volts batteries that I paid 50 bucks for all, they are led acid batteries and have plenty of acid, voltímeter reads 8+volts DC on each but it wasn’t enough to power a golf kart for a full golf tournament so the seller change to lithium batteries.I found tree semi worn 36 volts Photovoltaic panels that produce 29 volts max on a sunny Florida day and paid 65 a piece.I bought a 100 feet long black and red cable spull gage #4, for $77 on Amazon and a crimper tool with big round copper connectors for $35, and a 100 amp breaker that I put on the positive side of the batteries just before connecting the red cord to the converter for $20. I did all the splicing and tying myself in 2 hours. You can’t not use this converter without batteries, it won’t work. I try it.I used 3 of the eight volts batteries in series for a total of 24+ volts and then I did the same for the other 3 batteries separated. when I had 2 arrays of 24+ volts created, I put them in parallel and with the cables ( black and the red with the breaker on the red cable already connected on the converter), then I screw the negative cable first to the batteries negative terminals and the positive cable to the positive battery terminals.It works marvelous. I wish I could find more deals and build me 6 or 7 of this mini arrays and run my entire house. ...See more See less

There was an error on the sticker. The in inverter was 24v while the label carried 48v. Although it gives hard time during installation. I powered it with 48k and burn one the charging device, but I have to get technician to fix the problem. Since then it has been working perfectly ...See more See less
