Q: If I use 2 of these with a spreader bar will it pick up more than the 660 lb rated weight? In other words is the weight rating additive?
A: Each one will pickup what its rated for. If you use 2 on a spreader bar it will double the total capacity.

A: This magnet is activated by pulling the silver colored lever down, to release the magnet, you push a button on top of silver lever.

Q: can this be used to pick up nails and metals out of a burn pile?
A: No. Needs to be on a steel plate to allow the activating lever to work
