Works flawlessly as described. There would be a few instances where the offset of the wheel dish wouldn’t allow use of this tool. Other than that it has plenty of power to mush even the toughest beads off. Have done six tires so far and the only bead I couldn’t do was one side of a case combine front wheel because the dish of the wheel was too close to the bead.

This is definitely the ultimate bead breaker. I use it commercially for my mobile repair business. Based on the pictures, it is difficult to determine its size without something for comparison. Based on its price, I was expecting it to be a smaller unit similar to the many pneumatic impact driven models on the market but was surprised to find out it is a monster heavy duty unit that can handle large ag tires, heavy equipment tires, and 18 wheeler tires. The breaker unit is therefore extremely heavy, but it is a small price to pay considering its capability. I do have one of the screw driven models in the service truck but I hesitate to use it for many agricultural apps because they don't seem heavy enough to deal with ag tires with rusty rims. This breaker has handled absolutely everything I have tried to use it on from grader tires, to heavily rusted 28 inch rim tractor tires. The only criticism I have is the hose is a little too short if you're going to use it to change a lot of large tires while the wheels are still on the equipment. This Is often the route we take when when we can't easily remove the wheel from the lugs and pilot due to rust. According to tech support, it's a 3/8 npt hydraulic hose so shouldn't be difficult to find a longer one if you wanted. If you're looking for a huge industrial unit, this is it.

I had 2 yard cart tires that I could not find wheels and tire sets. I decided to put inner tubes in them and wanted to make it as easy as possible. The bead breaker is a little pricey for home use, as it was for me, but it worked as advertised and after a little learning curve I was able to break the tire bead on my 2 dump cart wheels with no problem. Of course, getting the tires back on manually was still tricky but was able to do so with persistence. I am very pleased with how functional the bead breaker worked, as mentioned pricey...but it worked!
