You can add up to 30 remote controls, and you can connect the WIFI module to use mobile phone control. But the WIFI module needs to be purchased by yourself.

Can this be used on solar power? We have a solar system on 12-volt battery attached to fence already. Just no electricity to the gate. Does it have to have electricity powered to the gate if solar is not used?

This has made it over a year now!
I bought this opener in January of 2018, it's now May of 2019 and has worked as expected 99.9% of the time. It has even worked better since I sprayed the chain and gears with non-dust collecting lube.A couple times in heavy ice storms I had to help it start (before the lube), the rest of the time it has worked great.I suspect part of the reason my remotes only reach about 75' is they are key fobs plugged into the ignition thus signal is blocked by car engine and my opener is mounted with the control board and antenna on the opposite side road approach.I recently added a wifi garage door opener to the gate and it adds a whole nether level to the coolness of having an automated gate!
